When watching it for the first time, I didn’t notice anything until the canopy. I thought “has that always been there?” That was 37 seconds in though, and near the end of the ad. I then thought that maybe the idea was that the buildings were trying to get closer to the car, but I didn’t see anything else change. By the time the narrator came in, I realized I had been totally tricked. Tricked, but impressed.
I had never heard of the Skoda Fabia before, but now it’s a car I’ll always remember.
Brilliant marketing needs no other words.
